So, our former deputy president has confused the poor, uneducated masses by stating while on the stand during his rape trial "that he took a shower - after having sex with the HIV-positive complainant without a condom - as he believed this minimised his risk of contracting the disease."What a stupid and irresponsible statement to make! The National AIDS helpline has now been receiving phonecalls from confused people who want to know if taking a shower after having sex without a condom will prevent them from contracting the disease! After all, if an educated man like Jacob Zuma says it's so, then it MUST be true!! This just INFURIATES me... people look UP to this fool and as such he has a responsibility to the public! That said, the mere fact that he's in the middle of a rape trial and before that a corruption trial, makes you wonder why in the HELL he still HAS supporters?!
So we may now find ourselves in a situation where we have women thinking that if they shower after being raped, they could possibly minimise their risk of contracting HIV - never mind the crucial evidence they will be washing away in the process! AAAARGH!! Jacob Zuma is an embarrassment to our country and I DARE anybody (Moshisi - if you're reading this) to contradict me!

I have a question though, why the Proudly SA signs if you are in Niigata-shi, Niigata-ken, Japan?
I'm here on a cultural exchange teaching programme for another year and a half... then back home to sunny, South Africa... yay!!!
